Implement robust error handling — AI predictions can fail or return low-confidence results, and integrated systems must handle these gracefully. Plan for versioning as models evolve. Prioritize security at every integration point, especially when AI accesses sensitive business data. Test integration thoroughly under realistic load conditions, not just with sample data.
